LVDY (pronounced LADY) is a Colorado-based duo comprised of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling is a delightful recipe of singer-songwriter, indie-folk, with powerful melodies and harmonies that speak to the senses. Love anthems weave in and out of their messages, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone.

Their ethereal harmonies, musical warmth, and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors as they draw influence from artists like Maggie Rogers, Rising Appalachia, JOSEPH and Trevor Hall.

Their debut EP, Electricity, was produced by Dreamers Delight and arrived in February of 2019. During their first year of pursuing music full-time, the LVDIES were named the Best Folk Band/Artist by Denver’s renowned music and arts publication 303 Magazine and toured the country playing nearly 100 shows and festivals. This landed them as support to incredible acts like LÉON, JOSEPH, Rising Appalachia, KT Tunstall, Joy Oladokun, Emily Scott Robinson, Brendan James, The National Parks & Morgan Saint. Their dedicated community, known as the LVDYMOB helped support a successful Kickstarter campaign, allowing them to create their debut album, “Gold” which released in April 2021. They released their sophomore album, The Woods, in the fall of 2022.

Their latest 4-song EP, Feathers, was released on February 23, 2024 and reflects their most dynamic and mature sound yet.

LISTED AS ONE OF “THE 29 BEST SHOWS WE SAW AT UMS THIS YEAR” (2019) via 303 magazine

The Denver-based duo of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable, known as LVDY, drenched the Knockout Stage in joyful exuberance on Friday. UMS is the first festival for the duo, and their stage presence is palpable. With an inherent ability to engage and interact with the crowd, LVDY surely added a few more fans to their “LVDY mob” through Hooper’s powerful vocals, Mable’s soulful guitar playing and the sheer honesty and positivity of their lyrics. A light rain only added to the dreamy vibe of the set as the duo played a mix of original tracks from their recent EP as well as a cover of Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” intertwined with the hymn “Ave Maria,” and an unreleased track focused on cultivating gratitude despite the hardships of life. Their set seemed to further solidify their rising star status in the local music scene and spread awareness for the overwhelmingly uplifting message that is LVDY.
