LVDY (pronounced LADY) is a Colorado-based duo consisting of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable. Known for their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling, LVDY blends singer-songwriter sensibilities with indie-folk melodies, delivering powerful harmonies and lyrics that resonate deeply. Their music is a heartfelt reminder that we’re not alone, weaving love anthems with simple yet significant messages of hope and connection. Inspired by the natural beauty of the outdoors and influences such as Maggie Rogers, Rising Appalachia, and Trevor Hall, their ethereal harmonies and meaningful lyrics invite listeners into a world of warmth and vulnerability.
"Mable’s warm rasp complements Hooper’s bright and clear vocals. With an acoustic guitar, the occasional tambourine, and their harmonies, LVDY creates honest music filled with positive energy that’s perfect for those sunny Colorado afternoons."

Aubrey and Kathleen’s journey began in 2012 when they met while studying abroad in Dunedin, New Zealand. Quickly becoming the best of friends, they bonded over shared dreams of traveling the world and sharing their music. Their jam sessions, often set in chilly New Zealand flats, eventually led to the formation of LVDY. After returning to the U.S., they continued playing on front porches and in the homes of friends and family, turning late-night kitchen jams into the spark of their original music.
LVDY’s debut EP, Electricity, was produced by Dreamers Delight and released in February 2019. That year, the duo was named Best Folk Band/Artist by Denver’s 303 Magazine, marking the beginning of their full-time music career. LVDY toured nearly 100 shows and festivals across the country, performing at renowned venues like Denver’s Lost Lake, Larimer Lounge, and The Marquis Theater, as well as New York’s Rockwood Music Hall, L.A.’s Hotel Café, and Chicago’s House of Blues. They’ve shared the stage with remarkable artists such as KT Tunstall, Rising Appalachia, Joy Oladokun, LÉON, Joseph, Emily Scott Robinson, The National Parks, and Morgan Saint.
With the support of their loyal fans, lovingly known as the LVDYMOB, Aubrey and Kathleen launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in November 2019, raising over $50,000 for their debut album. In April 2021, they released Gold, their first full-length album, followed by The Woods in the fall of 2022. In 2023, the duo collaborated with award-winning artist Dan Rodriguez to record their next project—an EP titled Feathers. Released in February 2024, Feathers marks a new chapter in their sound, exploring themes of self-compassion and human connection with their most mature and authentic work to date.
Currently, LVDY is in the midst of releasing new music that they feel is their best yet, with fresh songs that continue to push the boundaries of their evolving sound. They’re also gearing up for their biggest headlining show to date at the iconic Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO, on June 13, 2025. It’s a milestone moment for the duo, and they can’t wait to share it with their ever-growing LVDYMOB.
